Monsignor Devlin is a firmly believer of the existence of only one God. He is going to do anything in his power to make unbelievers dissapear from existence to save the true religion, The Christendom .

The weapon (The Ark ) is his destiny. God granted it to The St. Michael's Order, hundreds of years ago - to smite the infidel and prove the righteousness of the one Faith when the time was right.
